The Motel Hacienda is located 3 KM north of Matehuala, S.L.P. on the west side of highway Route 57, the main commercial route between Mexico and the United States. Route 57 is the first "cut and fill" road built in Mexico and has less mountain grades than any other north-south route. It is a divided expressway as far north as Saltillo to Monterrey, and from San Luis Potosi to Mexico City. At present, the expansion is currently under construction connecting Saltillo to Matehuala and San Luis Potosi to Matehuala.
